Newcastle United sign Chelsea star Kennedy on a season long loan dea
Rafael Benitez has completed the signing of Chelsea star Kennedy on a one year loan deal.
The Brazilian spent the later part of last season on loan with the Magpies and scored twice in the process.
He says he is looking forward to continuing what he started at the club last term Premier League outfit Newcastle United have completed the signing of Chelsea winger Robert Kenedy on a season long loan deal until the end of the 2018-19 season.
The 22-year-old scored twice in 13 appearances while on loan at the on a short term loan deal last term. He will now stage a return to the same club to help the Magpies fight for one of the domestic titles.
The club also announed the signings of both Martin Dubravka and Ki Sung-yueng as the new seasons draws nearer.
Reacting to his recent move, Kennedy said that: "I am so happy with this interest from Rafa Benitez, that he came back for me.
"I want to keep it going, the work that I did here before, for the new season. "I have received many, many messages on social media from the fans.
"They made me feel appreciated, so I wanted to come here in this new season and give everything on the pitch."
Meanwhile, Newcastle boss Benitez added: "I’m really pleased to have Kenedy back with us. I’m sure every fan will be happy with this signing.
"Hopefully he can keep playing at the same level that he reached with us last season. "I wish him all the best for his time here."
The Italian manager has been linked with a move away from the Stamford Bridge before the commencement of the new campaign.
