How to restore your IMEI on your android phone (SAMSUNG)
Meaning :
IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity and is a unique identifier for a mobile device. IMEI is a form of ESN (Electronic Serial Number). IMEI numbers are typically 15 digit numbers. You can check your imei number at the back of your phone when you remove the battery its normally in 15 digits .
Or just dial the code below on your mobile phone to avail your IMEI number or better still check your phone pack for the IMEI number .
So many droid users loose their IMEI number because of the following listed below :
1. Not rooting your phone properly hereby bricking it.
2. Not properly installing a custom rom on your device.
Loosing your IMEI number will make you loose signal bars also .
TOOLS NEEDED TO RESTORE IMEI
* A good internet connection.
* A Pc .
* A good usb cable.
*download the latest version of Odin (i advice v3.9 up) .
*now goto to sammobile.com ,click on "firmware" and input your Samsung model in the bar . E.g SM-N(9505). Select your country and download your os .
HOW TO RESTORE YOUR IMEI (SAMSUNG)
*Switch off your phone and press a combination of Power botton+Menu botton+ Volume down for 4 sec and release then press the volume up botton . Then you are into the download mode .
*Install and open the odin which you downloaded .
* don't change any thing just leave all the way they are .
* click on PDA from the picture below and locate were you downloaded your OS from after that mark it as seen below .
* Press start and let the pc do its thing .
Wait the the process finish and dont unplug till you see the PASS in green as shown above. Your device might boot severally (don't worry its normal).
Its takes about 10 minutes for your phone to completely boot up.
Now after complete boot go back and dial the code above to check on you IMEI number .
